The Complete In Incompletion Collection (2022)

Complete In Incompletion 2022
Grace Minnock Jewellery began with her graduate collection ‘Complete in Incompletion’. Which explores the constant struggle of feeling incomplete or imperfect. Her goal for this project was to express that any imperfection is normal, and that it can be beautiful, valuable, and whole if you choose to accept what you cannot change. These ideas are expressed through a series of visual metaphors, combining ‘incompletions’ with ‘repairs’ to express the desire to conceal what is ‘missing’ or ‘broken’ within.

Why do we need to hide our imperfections? One prominent inspiration of her work is the Japanese art of ‘kintsugi’, a tradition in which ceramic objects are repaired with gold, celebrating imperfection through emphasising it as a beautiful aspect of one’s life. Using sterling silver, brass and gold plating; Grace cut, moulded, and soldered stunning jewellery that is complete despite their intentional aspects and inspirations of incompletion.
The Gilded Lily Collection 2023
Continuing her inspiration and research from her degree collection, Grace Minnock Jewellery Creates Complementary Jewellery to complement and pair with her first collection. This series of designs attempt to build on from the first ideas of this collection this time without the constraint of time. These designs make peace with the imperfections uncovered from the previous collection with the idea that incompletion itself can be whole, and from that we can find beauty in the details found within the moment.

The Bloom Collection
The Bloom Collection is inspired by new beginnings. Like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon we are reborn as we enter a new chapter. Metals with Rose quarts accents to provoke the vibrancy of spring. This collection continues to evolve as new designs are created.
